JSC Aeroflot Russian Airline or Aeroflot is the major airline company of Russia and also the oldest airline of the world. It was founded in the year 1923. Aeroflot Airline has its main hub at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow.
Domestic air service of Aeroflot Airline was set up on 9 February in the year 1923. The service commenced on 15th July, 1923. Flights started to operate between Moscow and Nizhni Novgorod. The International flights started its operation in the year 1932.

More than 51% share of Aeroflot Airline is owned by the Russian Government via Rosimushchestvo. National Reserve Corporation (27%) and employees and others (19%) form the other half.
