British Airways is one of the prominent airline companies of United Kingdom. It is also one of the largest airline of Europe. The main hub of British Airways are London Gatwick Airport and London Heathrow Airport.

Sir John King became the Chairman of British Airways in the year 1981. He wanted to make the airline a privately owned company. He later hired Colin Marshal in the year 1983 and appointed him as the Chief Executive Officer. It went on to become a prominent airline company from a loss making company. The airline company was fully privatized and listed itself on the London Stock Exchange in the year 1987. By 1990s it became the most profitable airline company of United Kingdom.
British Airways holds 10% share of Spanish Airline, Iberia. It also owns 10% stake of FlyBe. It also has 10% share of Eurostar (U.K.) Ltd. The Chief Executive of British Airways is Willie Walsh.
British Airways has 235 aircrafts. The company has 33 Airbus A319-100, 10 Airbus A321, 24 Airbus320, 9 Boeing 737-500, 5 Boeing 737-300, 19 Boeing737-400, 13 Boeing 757-200, 57 Boeing 747-400 and many more. British Airways is in expansion mode. It is planning to buy 24 Boeing 787, 4 Boeing 777- 200ER, 10 Airbus A320, 10 Airbus A321 and 12 Airbus A380-800.
First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy Class, Economy Class are available in Airbus A319-100, Airbus A320, Airbus A321, Boeing 737-300, Boeing737-400, Boeing 737-500, Boeing 777-200ER.
