Kozhikode International Airport is also known as Karipur airport and is located at Karipur in Malappuram district in Kozikhode or Calicut in Kerala, India. This airport is also known as Calicut Airport after the name of the city. The closest railway station is Feroke. Calicut Airport is located 26 km from the Calicut Railway Station and 27 km from Manjeri town. Due to the recent Billion-Rupee upgradation of existing facilities, the infrastructure at Kozhikode Airport is about to receive foreign airlines. The inline baggage system of Calicut Airport is first of its kind in india. The separate X-raying of baggage, will be installed at the airport by November. Several airlines have sought night parking facility at the airport. For thi spurpose presently 10 barking bays are available in the airport.

Permitting night parking at the airport greatly improved air-connectivity. Airports Authority of India or AAI provides three aerobridges at the airport which will help passengers directly enter the terminal while perching from an aircraft. In addition to these three aerobridges, there are also two more aerobridhe at provision. A 15,000-square meter international arrival terminal has been opened to passengers in Calicut Airport. It is similar to the modern and spacious international departure terminal that became operational on May 2007.
Three modern conveyor belts are installed at arrival terminal and 800 stainless steel chairs for passengers in the security-hold area. Elevators and escalators are also installed inside and outside the terminal building. The airport also provides several facilities for its passengers and visitors.
